Leotis Evans, 76, born in Sandersville, GA, to Walter Evans and Ouida Mae Wheeler, passed away Saturday, August 14, 2021 in Orlando, Fl; He attended Hungerford High School, after-which he joined the US Army, where he served during the Vietnam War. Leotis loved his family and they certainly loved him; Leotis was a man with a sense of humor and always had a way to make you laugh abut events of life, which always made us think about events to remember; He leaves to cherish his memory, 5 sons, Leotis Evans Jr, Harold Poole-Evans, Dwayne Evans, Arvis Evans Sr., and Caleb Evans; 1 daughter, Johnetta Evans; 4 brothers; Timothy Lloyd, Gregory Lloyd, James Frank Evans and Aaron Evans, 5 Sisters; Mary Dawson, Susan Herron, Betty Walker, Lorretta Dailey and Gwendolyn Bryant; A wife, Avis Loretta Evans; 22 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren; A Maternal Uncle, Tommie Wheeler; A host of other family members and friends; A visitation service will take place Friday, August 20, 2021, 5-7pm in the beautiful Chapel of Peoples Funeral Home; 1001 E. 25th Street; Sanford, Fl 32771; A Celebration of Life will be Saturday, August 21, 2021 at 11am.
