Robert Jones

Robert "Bob" Jones, 84, born June 1, 1938, in Brooklyn, NY. to John and Eloise Jones, passed away Friday, July 8, 2022 in the presence of his loving family. Bob attended Franklin K. Lane High School, and after graduating he went on to St. Frances College in PA, then finished his Masters at Adelphi University. Robert served in the United Sates Army, served as SP4-E-4 in 1963, then transferred to the United States Air Force; After receiving his honorable discharge from both, Bob continued to serve those who needed him in the field of social work where many men needed him after their challenging experiences in the military. Bob also loved basketball, and fishing; but most of his love was for a song sung by the Late Whitney Houston, " I will always Love You, dedicated his 2 darling daughters. He leaves to cherish his memory, 1 son, Brian Jones; 2 daughters, Rhonda Blacks and Tonya Jones; 1 brother, William Jones; 3 sisters, Dorothy Turmage, Sandra Thomas and Elaine Jones; A Military Honor Service will take place Monday, July 18, 2022 at 12 noon, at the Cape Canaveral National Cemetery, in Mims, Florida; arrangements are entrusted into the compassionate hands of Peoples Funeral Home; 1001 E. 25th Street; Sanford, Fl 32771; Karen Y.
